Design Process

We believe you should be across every aspect of designing your project, so we’ve condensed the way we work down to three no-nonsense steps…

1. Concept: tell us your ideas, we’re all ears

• Obtain client brief, preferably at in-studio meeting, sign contract of engagement and take deposit
• Assess site condition and constraints at site visit and online
• Initial enquiries with local council/authorities
• Preliminary selection of materials and finishes

2. Development: creating your dream home

• Begin the initial design and generate floor plans and elevations
• Provide schedule of proposed materials such as cladding, render etc
• Client reviews proposed design and drawings
• Incorporate client feedback in drawings
• Client approval of proposed design and drawings
• Confirm statutory and council requirements

3. DA & Construction Docs: getting all ducks in a row

• Finalise Draft Drawings including floor plans, elevations and sections
• Prepare specifications and schedules in accordance with drawings
• Compile BASIX and Statement of Environmental Effects documentaion
• Lodge Development Application (if required)
• Complete specifications for Construction Drawings
• Client approval of Construction Drawings and final payment
• Issue Construction Drawings and hand over to client
